One of our charter members, Dale Burk of Stevensville, died a few days ago. We of Montana Conservation Elders are saddened by this. But we also fully recognize the wonderful life that Dale created for himself: a life of love of family, grief of the loss of two of his sons, his love of the Montana outdoors, his passion for the English language and learning, the innumerable books publshed by his business (Stonydale Press), his interest in others and their passions, and his never-ending dreams of an even larger Brown Trout to catch on his beloved Big Hole River.
R.I.P. Dale Burk. You inspired so many to get outdoors, and you were loved by the many friends, family and readers of your prose.
