Our Mission
To understand and embrace the values of the wild and the actions that make it happen
The protection of Wilderness areas of Montana, our other public lands, the clean waters and the flora and fauna represent our core values. We want to protect these priceless and irreplaceable resources for the generations that follow us.
Our Vision
Montana Conservation Elders envisions a robust constituency of young people involved in conservation in our state. These future defenders of our rivers and wildlife must be the citizen activists who vote, donate to, and actively get involved in protecting and maintaining our public lands. To prevent the loss of quiet, wild places, MCE hopes to empower the next generation of vigorous, passionate, and effective conservation leaders.
How We Work
Montana Conservation Elders is creating a Speaker’s Bureau to share our love of Montana’s wild places. We are interested in partnering with individuals, groups, schools, museums, libraries, conservation groups and others to teach the enthralling history of conservation in Montana.
Montana Conservation Elders is an independent, non-partisan, nonmembership organization. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and our education and outreach efforts are carried out by our board members. We welcome donations from individuals and conservation groups.
